247 - Motors For Sale (or Trade)

 

This week I've finally found the time to take a pic, motor by motor, of the stuff I intend to sell. For every motor it's the case to consider that shipping could be more than its price (often I buy stuff overseas and it's the rule) but I can sell them in lot or I can consider to trade but only with a off road Yokomo car (that I miss after the sell of my Works 91).

Every motor will come in the same condition I've bought because of I haven't the time to restore it.

246 - Three Out Of Four

Dan from Elgar Hobbies (the eBay seller where I bought my Yokomo Wing 2) have been very helpful in finding the basic infos about the Wing motors serie sending me some scans of CML Distribution ads concerning Yokomo motors so (from the top to the bottom):

- YMF RF Wing Stock Motor 23 turns of 0,8mm size wire;

- YWM2 Wing Modified Motor 15 turns single wind of 0,95mm size wire;

- YWM4 Wing Modified Motor 16 turns single wind of 0,95mm size wire;

The Wing serie was made of four motors,  the three shown in the pic plus the YWM BG Wing Stock Motor (15 turns of 0,9mm size wire that was intended to be a budget choice to race in modified class) that I do not own yet.

My next target will be the BG therefore and, after this, I will probably end to buy vintage motors, I prefer to have a small (but complete) series instead a selection of various motors from many different makers (this is why I will sell most of my motors).

245 - And With This Purchase I've Bought In Four Continents

To be honest I wasn't much confident to find a Yokomo Wing 2 Motor to add to my collection but thank to Elgar Hobbies, a great eBay seller from Australia, that allowed my to buy it from Italy the dream came true.

The motor, as claimed by the seller, is perfect shape without scratches or marks and, at a first glance, internals ar shine as new: great!

It came with an usefull display that, in the pic, I've used in the wrong way, my fault.

I don't know at what point is my Yokomo Wing collection because not much infos are available on line about this motors, I've been only able to find some old japanes advs buth nothing about thenumber of the members of the family... the search continues.
