195 - Ready For Holidays

Well, with the stuff received today I've updated as planned my Wild One and to me it look awesome! Pink wheels, made by Jc Racing Products, have been chosen in honor of Mr. Masami Hirosaka (that used pink wheels on his racing buggies) and in memory of my Yokomo Works 91 I've sold as an Idiot.

Car have been also updated with Schumacher tires to reach a mix between a scale buggy and a racing buggy that I like and that I've seen years ago on time-tunnel.jp

following my campaign of elimination of every "made in china" stuff from my cars I've swapped the cheap esc chosen years ago for this car with a solid Robitronic Speedstar 2 Esc that I well know.

Before...

... and after!

My Wild One also benefits of its new Tamiya Super Stock BZ motor updated with bearings instead of bushings.

The new motor is equipped with Carson steel pinion to improve reliability.

To avoid problems unis have been secured using a ring of heat shrink.

Jc Racing wheels are modern tires with hexes and to use them an adapter is needed. Jc Racing Products sells a 3d printed one that is very well made, precise and not grainy as many 3d parts available on the Web. (sorry for bad pic)

194 - Simple Upgrade

With the planned target to turn my Wild One more in a more efficient and durable car I've decided to make a simple upgrade to its new BZ motor I've purchased weeks ago. I've switched the stock bronze bushings to a pair of new ball bearings.

Of course a little gain in terms of rpm have been done but I'm not in the condition to check it so I will be settle by the increase of durability.

193 - Thinking About Holidyas

Summer is upcoming but fortunately air is still fresh avoiding heat during the day. I don't like summer but our summer holidays in the green of mountains are long waited during the year to recharge. This year I will carry a Tamiya to have some fun and for first I was thought about the Stadium Blitzer but finally I've decided to carry my beloved Wild One.

It need some attentions to be ready and for first I've bough a motor to replace the good old Sport Tuned, a Super Stock BZ not with the power in mind but with the idea to use on this car a rebuildable motor.

Some oder upgrades have been purchased and some are going to be but keeping this car simple and durable.
