094 - CR01 Rebuilding & Modifying (part 2)

Today, between the building of a new radio tray and the awaiting for the new chassis, I've tested the positioning of the Beetle body :-).

093 - Alpine Mumbling

We are in the alps for a couple of days of relax and, this evening, with a good beer in front and with the smell of the fire of wood in the air I spent some time to think about the design of my CR's new chassis.

092 - Swapping Tamiya Wheels To Losis

Last week I ordered and received from Casa del Modellismo, in Piemonte, a set of Losi beadlocks for my CR1.
Before use them I removed all the chrome and painted the rims in matt black.
I've chosen this wheels because the width is around 26mm, a centimeter narrower than Tamiya ones.

To screw the beadlock screws I used this Team Trinity tool I bought more than 20 years ago and never used before.

Use the new Losi wheels allowed me to swap from the CR knuckles to a pair of DF03 ones and to gain a small amount of steering more.
