233 - Rear End Completed

 

After the clean and the repair of the transmission I've been able to complete with the suspensions and the shafts the Wild One's rear end. I have to point out that I really love how clean and tidy it looks, a true classic beauty even without the motor and without the rubber joint boots eliminated after the upgrade from dog bones to universals.

232 - Wild One New Diff

Ages are elapsed from when I broke my Wild One's differential using the Super Stock motor with the wrong pinion, months ago spares gears have been purchased so, considering that in the last weeks I'm rebuildint the car, I have no excuses to postpone the long waited repair.

After the cleaning from old grease and from the metal chippins coming from the broken diff old gears have been swapped with a new set.

The trasminssion case shows some scruffs but I love if this cars look like a well used bass.

231 - Rebuilding The Green One

 

The rebirth of my Wild One has started today screwing the suspension to the chassis front end and putting the roll cage and the transmission cage in their place. The motor haven't been yet swapped with the Dirt Tuned but for first I want to put the car togheter again before doing repairs or improvements.

The front end will remain the same, as assembled the first time, without the bumper and with the black painted shock towers also the scars on the paint will be kept in deference to the wabi-sabi concept.

Some hardware under the chassis have been also installed.
