251 - Tamiya BBX: Tadaaa!

With some days of delay, today, I've unpacked my new Tamiya BBX and I don't know if it depends by the widely diffused expectations about this car or by the long time spent from my last Tamiya kit (2018) but I was excited as the time I've opened my Madcap (my first Tamiya kit).

Of course the first thing done has been a deep sniffed of the freshly opened box.

250 - Tamiya BBX: Landed!

 

My specimen of the most awaited and chatted Tamiya model in the last 20 (30? 40?) years has been delivered today, can't wait to open its box, to smell its "scent of new Tamiya" and to start its build.

249 - Tamiya BBX: Is On Its Way!

I'm a bit late with this blog updates but it's due to we are on holidays and that during this holiday we are doing a lot to tidy up the house we bought a year ago so, no Tamiyas in the luggage.

But big news anyway, yesterday I've received a notification: my BBX is on its way!

I will touch it with my own hands only in 10 days because it will be delivered to my parents home and I live in Venice but no matters, my BBX will be at home.

248 - Back To The Origins

 

In these long years in the hobby I have experienced different solutions with connectors: of course the starting point were the Tamiyas,  than I switched to the Corallys tubes when I started soldering my own batteries, I've also used the Deans plugs and, in the last years, I'm using gold plated 3.5mm bullet connectors for both motors and batteries.

With the fothcoming release of the new Tamiya BBX I'm considering to switch back to the origins using Tamiyas for the battery plugging and a straight solder for motor cables...  just to simplify my life.
