110 - Japanese Memories... Again!
During my first journey in Japan (2010) and during my first time in Eifukucho I noticed this little shop and I wanted to come back to give a second glance to a shelf that caught my look.

105 - Back In Topic With A Recent Purchase!
Last week I've purchased this truck from a popular italian site. Some explicative pics and a good price convinced me to not wait.
The car arrived as described by the seller: in mint condition!
Never run, without scruffs on the chassis, with unfinished body and only a screw ad a body clip are missed.
Of course I'm going to turn it in running condition swapping all the remaining bushings with ball bearings, fitting a modern electronics and a modified motor, fitting new tires and painting the body.

104 - Finferi!
"Finferi" wrote my friend Tomo from Tokyo when I sent him a pic with last tuesday's mushrooms. Of course he meant "finferli" the common name for Cantharellus Lutescens, but now I prefer " finferi".
This week the hunt went unpredictably better (if possible) and when, tired but satisfied, we came back home "finferi" is what I said showing the result!

102 - Something Different
This period of the year is dedicated to a kind of family's tradition: mushrooms hunting. From two or three weeks my father and I dedicate a day a week for a journey to the Dolomites with pretty good results.

101 - The Mumbling Factor...
The weeks after holidays are, every year, a period of pause from the hobby often dedicated to mumbling.
Mumbling about my CR... mumbling about my Madcap... mumbling about my WO... mumbling about tires, wheels, motors, batteries, projects... hard times folks! :-)

098 - CR01 Rebuilding & Modifying (part 5)
In the past week I was convinced that all the modified to my CR were finished so I took some shots before a short shakedown.
Unfortunately, for an unknown reason, I fried the ESC and to understand it I had to ask about some strange symptoms in the Scalers and Crawlers board.
The next (and I hope the last) step is the building of a different radio tray to install the Hobbywing Crawler ESC I've bought some weeks ago.

097 - CR01 Rebuilding & Modifying (part 4)
With the arrival of the new Gmade shock the modifieds of my CR are next to be finished so I sacrificed the ABS baja body to decide where to cut the lexan repro I will buy asap.
For the next week I've planned some finishing works: painting the radio tray, painting or polishing the chassis and some other little adjustements.

096 - CR01 Rebuilding & Modifying (part 3)
This week I've built from scratch a plexiglass radio tray and I made some body cuts to match it with the new chassis. Fortunately I've got an old body to sacrifice.

095 - Oh! Those Little Lipos!
Some days ago I've bought two little 1300mah lipos to power my modified CR. The chassis I've designed is inspired by Sportsman class and standard batteries won't fit.

094 - CR01 Rebuilding & Modifying (part 2)
Today, between the building of a new radio tray and the awaiting for the new chassis, I've tested the positioning of the Beetle body :-).

093 - Alpine Mumbling
We are in the alps for a couple of days of relax and, this evening, with a good beer in front and with the smell of the fire of wood in the air I spent some time to think about the design of my CR's new chassis.

092 - Swapping Tamiya Wheels To Losis
Last week I ordered and received from Casa del Modellismo, in Piemonte, a set of Losi beadlocks for my CR1.
Before use them I removed all the chrome and painted the rims in matt black.
I've chosen this wheels because the width is around 26mm, a centimeter narrower than Tamiya ones.

091 - CR01 Rebuilding & Modifying (part 1)
I've received from Seidel in Germany (great shop) some items ordered some days ago to rebuild and modify my CR01.
So, today, I've cleaned the whole transmission, made some repairs, switched the motor from the Robitronic 55T to a new Tamiya 35T and installed the Tamiya steel axles.

090 - Ready To Fight
This afternoon I've prepared my new LiPOs for the fight. I swapped the Tamiya plugs to the 3,5mm bullets that I normally use.

089 - Classic Motors Refurbished!
Some weeks ago I bought some abused brushed motors (Corally and Orion). Their conditions were awful with many rubber debris (motor were used by a touring racer), many soldering leavings and many soldering "scars".
I've opened every motor, cleaned and examining every single part I saved the saveable. Result: 3 complete motors from total of 7 purchased.
Received the needed spares from Team Corally in the Netherlands I reinterpreted (windings were too low) the old and tired touring motors in this 3 motors that will be useful for my classic cars :)

088 - Day Of Deliveries!
Today I've received two packets: one from Netherland and one from Germany.
The first one comes from Team Corally and contains some useful spares that Yoko sent me and that will be necessary to refurbish the used motors I've purchsed some weeks ago.
The second one comes to one of my favourite shop in Germany: Tamico. It has inside my ticket for the modern era: two Nvision LiPO packs (finally) and some other bits I need.

086 - Banzaiii!
Banzai Hobby from Japan sent me a packet containing the KO receiver ordered some weeks ago to fill my EX5‘s memory.
Banzai offers a great service and an uncommon customer care, hats off!
